I have literally hid from my blog...
Just ignored it.
Not even visit it.
It's been hard to even get to the computer, first because i don't get anything else done. and when I am done, I am too tired to do anything else.
The puppy still has a happy home.
He is any angel. Truly. Needing xtra discipline, but when he is alone with Ed or on a walk, he is actually perfect, almost.
I have had to use Ceasar Milan's method. But after reading 2 of his books, and watching every show that comes across the tv, I am finding it works. And poor Taffy. To chastise her for her little "growls" she literally looks at me with "what the Hey??"
Taffy is 16. A bit slower, sleeps more, and doesn't come down from bed until she hears the food coming out of the can, but she still has a little hop in her step when she wants to. Doesn't bark unless it is to get the younger 2 inline. Truly she is a well balanced dog.(if you know Cesar, you understand this.)Now Tricksee is another story, she enjoys taunting Autumn and Harley, Literally, she decided that she isn't being run out by the dogs.. She claims her space.
Christmas came and went, a quiet one, but , if I remember , a sunny but chilly day. then the New Year. A nasty flu going around. I never get sick.
Well, i started couphing and getting a cold. The next thing I know, it is the middle of February, and I had no idea where January had gone. Half the time I spent in bed, couphing , hacking, nose running. And when I did feel better, I would get out of the house and the next day, feel even worse. I finally went and got an antibiotic, I hate taking those. They are given too frequently, and when you really need them, your body will be resistant.
I went to the knit and crochet festival that came to Pgh. Was a great time. The weaving class I decided to take, well the teacher, for what reason, had no idea what she was doing, it was cancelled after lunch, when she went to her hotel room, and fell asleep, and finally the head of the festival woke her up, she looked at us like it was our fault as we didn't wake her up ???
We got our money back and an offer to take a free class on Sunday. I took Maggi Jackson's class. It was great and met a few nice ladies.
Another birthday came and went, and the chronic fatigue-not being able to run as I used to, still a problem. Really makes me sad as the Pgh. marathon is coming back to the city in May. Was the first Marathon i had done and I will be back, though not this year. Their is one more avenue to check out, that happens to renal failure patients, the reasons they get so tired, is the Parathyroid, and sometimes it carries over , after having the transplant, still ends up having an adenoma, which is a cancerous tissue, and causing the same tiredness. SUrgery to remove one or two of them or all of them, usually solves the problem. the problem is that sometimes the lab work doesn't show that it is malfunctioning, but it is still a problem. Especially when you have 6 symptoms out of 9.
I am needing to walk the dogs, to tire them out, and it tires me out also, but a tired dog is a happy and well behaved dog.
Knitting, well still trying to get it organzied, and just thinking of it tires me out mentally. Did get some new spring yarn from Gedifra, had problems w/the pattern, and decided I needed to finish the Noro sweater I started before Christmas. Almost done, I ran out of yarn, need one more skein, hoping to get that tomorrow and finishing it.It is knit from side to side, and i did the arms in theround, so going quite fast.
We did have a few very chilly days, a small snowstorm or 2, compared to '92, when we h ad 3 feet. Seems that Spring is here early, oh please let it be..
And one more thing. The spinning wheel I have on layaway, I hope to make it a weaving loom. Allot of thinking and I just don't think I will want to knit with the yarn that I spin, and I love the process of being creative, but did ponder this even before I put the wheel on layaway. So hopefully this spring I will be able to take a weaving class.
Hopefully that is the last 5months in a nutshell. Oh, and of course no knitting material to show, you really think this is a knitting blog???!!!
